OUR CHURCH

The church is not in the building. It has been established in God’s people to be spread through the understanding the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We, God’s children, must strive to grow the ministry through evangelism and general love of our fellow man. Never compromise, never criticize, always nurture in Jesus’ name! We are not here for show, but to glorify, magnify and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ! The mission of the church is to know and love Christ so supremely as to represent Him and His values accurately and vividly to the world and serve people’s deepest needs in the way Christ Himself would meet them. “Our Lord Jesus Christ is the sun about which the whole mission of the church revolves. Public worship is the encounter of the risen Redeemer with His people; evangelism is calling men to the Savior; publishing the law of God is proclaiming His lordship; Christian nurture is feeding His lambs and disciplining His flock; ministering to the needs of men is continuing the work of the Great Physician.” The church’s mission is to present Jesus Christ to the world, while He presents to the same world His rescuing work in and through His church.

 

OUR PASTOR

 

  • A second generation man of God, the product of Rev. Emory Choyce Vaughn Sr. and Evelyn Vaughn born on May 22nd, 1963. The 12th of 14 children

 

  • Received calling at the age of 18. Joined the United States Army at the age of 20.

  • Responded to spiritual call and became the chief armor-bearer to Pastor Caffie.

  • At this time, Rev. Caffie began to guide spiritual path and God once again reminded of calling.

  • Was married to the most awsome Latrisha Hooks on May 21st 1996

  • Married 19 years to LaTrisha Vaughn, Daughter; Taneshia, Sons; Robert Jr., RayNier, and TyShawn(Janay)

  • Employed by Ohio Technical College since 2004 as; Instructor, Night Director, Electrical Director, and most recently as Director of the Automotive Department since 2013. 

  • Under Pastor Caffie’s tutelage, continued to grow and attended the Progressive Baptist Bible Institute.

  • Set out to assist Pastor Aaron Phillips establish “Sure House Baptist Church Ministries”.

  • Returned to Original Harvest where Rev. Michael Turner was now the pastor to assist in the growth of  Original Harvest as a “soul winning” church in the city of Cleveland, Ohio.

  • Helped nephew, Min. Fletcher Burch, establish God's Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church

  • Established “The Revelation of Saint Paul Ministry”; an Internet Ministry focused on keeping the lost from getting completely knocked down before recognizing that God is all they need to survive!

  • Temporarily left to assist Pastor Phillips again with Sure House

  • Returned to Original Harvest to assist in the growth of  Original Harvest once again

  • Called to shepherd the flock of Christ Star Missionary Baptist Church; March 1st 2015.
